We live in an apartment with a fairly large balcony on the 2nd floor. It’s a 3 floor apaprtment and over our balcony is another balcony (so our balcony is covered). Anyways, we saw one of our neighbors on the 2nd floor witha firepit on their balcony. The balconies are carpeted with indoor/outdoor carpet. There are no rules about firpits either. We were really wanting a heating source on our balcony now that it’s cooling off outside but don’t know the hazards. Are firpits safe? Would a heater be better? Our nieghbors always do smores which is why we were wanting the pit. I know thier are pads you put down underneath to protect the flooring. We have a grill too. Let me know what you think. If you have any ideas about heating sources let me know because it’s too cold to sit out thier without anything. Thanks!
For the 2nd answer- it doesn’t matter what you allow, my apt. complex does. I am getting a heating source and am wondering what woul dbe the safest. I didn’t ask what different tenets allow.
I got some cajun seasoning called Cajun Seasoning From Hell today because it sounded interesting and super spicy and I was planning on using it on steak. I read that it’s used for blackening, but I’m in an apartment with no outdoor grill and my window is too far away to ventilate it from the smoke so I can’t. Would a light dusting and quick pan sear be good enough or do I need to blacken to use it correctly?
I need to find out where I can find information on any sort of law that prohibits outside grills for apartments located in Rockford, IL. We recently moved into an apartment that does not allow us to use an outdoor grill on our patio. They told us it is against the law to have grills on the patio. We have a gas grill. I have been trying to find a decent grill for a while and since we live in an apartment were not allowed much. We have a patio and this george foreman grill would be perfect! I just havent found any under 70 bucks. And craigslist only has nasty used ones. CAn anyone maybe tell me where i can get one for a great steal? I love to cook but our apartment has an old crappy stove so i dread cooking…i would so use this grill everyday! Thanks for any help!
