I’ve been on charcoal now for over 10 yrs. not & I want something different. I’m looking for a gas grill w/ island & need help. I’m looking for the quality grills, NOT SOLD by places like sears, lowes, home depot, etc. Does anyone have sites I can visit which would recommend the "best" grill for the money? I’ve looked at OCS, CAPITAL, OUTDOOR KITCHEN CONCEPTS(nice), & VIKING. All above k. I DON’T WANT TO BE SENT TO A LOWES site or related that reviews how to find a grill, I’m looking at quality brands (not Weber, brinkham, etc.)

There will be 5 of us. Most of the cooking will be done on a gas grill. I need some ideas other than hamburgers & hot dogs. Maybe something I could do prep for in the a.m then just throw on the grill that night. We will be partying all day so nothing too too complicated lol But ALL ideas no matter how hard are WELCOME =) Thanks guys!

My mother’s 80th birthday is next month. We are holding the party outside at my sister’s. It’s the first time she’s ever had a birthday party of more than 5 people. There will be a minimum of fifty (50) people. I am looking for a VERY special recipe (main course, hot) to serve that will not be too difficult to a) make ahead and b) serve outdoors. BBQ’s are out – sister does not have a grill. I was thinking of Jambalaya, but too many people disagreed with the idea because of a) seafood not a favorite & b) too spicy. Stuffed Cabbage (my mother is Polish) is already on the menu and so is kielbasa and chicken. I’m at my wits ends trying to come up with something really special. Any ideas (w/recipes) would be greatly appreciated as this Christian woman is VERY special to us all – she has always given of herself without ever asking for anything.
Also, if you have any REALLY SPECIAL recipes for sides, deserts, etc., I’ll GRATEFULLY take those too, but I must come up with a main course.

We are planning a 2 night camping trip with our kids, who are 9, 7 & 3. I would like to know some suggestions for food and snacks that can be done over a campfire. We do not plan on taking any sort of grill, so all of our food will have to be cooked over a fire, or with the grate over the fire. So far I have hotdogs, marshmallows, beans, veggies and dip, fruit..and of course non perishable snacks like crackers and things like that. Also what other things would you suggest that I could do to save money. I am not in the position to go out anf buy a bunch of camping items, so what are the neccessities? Flashlights, a cooler or two, ??? We have a few sleeping bags, but I am thinking blankets will be ok, too.
Any ideas or suggestions will be appreciated. Idiots will be reported.
Basically – what would YOU take on a camping trip with kids? Must haves, and also extras, too.
Thank you in advance.

I’m trying to decide between these two grills. The 1st one is 9 at Home Depot and I have a 10% off coupon that expires on 11/29. This was on his wish list, but he said it doesn’t have to be this one. So I started browsing and I found a Kenmore Gas Grill for 9.99 and it was originally more. I’m thinking the Kenmore grill is better, but I’m not sure. Which one would you get?

Hello, all. I just purchased a Uniflame 10,000 BTU Single Burner Portable Gas Grill from Walmart. From the reviews, the grill does not come with a propane tank and after doing some research, I found the Coleman 16.4oz tanks online. My question is, being that I have a 10,000 BTU grill, how long on average will the tank last me? I will be camping with my family (Myself, Wife & 3 kids) for 4 nights & 3 days and we will be grilling for most of our meals. I read on here that those tanks usually last about an hour with the heat on high but just want to be sure. I don’t think we will be grilling for an hour each time we eat. The campsite we are going to also refills tanks, I am not sure if they can fill up the small 16.4oz tanks, but would rather be safe than sorry and have enough fuel to grill for our time there. How many tanks do you think I will need? Thanks so much in advance!!!

Quick, easy, healthy recipes to get busy newlyweds (one is a student and one is in the military) started. No known food allergies. I want to make them a starter cookbook of tasty tried & true recipes that are nutritious and can easily be adapted for a larger group if needed. Any category (main dish, vegetables, bread, desserts, etc), crock pot & outdoor grill recipes welcome. Website ideas helpful too but I’m planning on visiting some of the more common sites (Pillsbury.com, Allrecipes.com, foodnetwork.com, etc). Thank you!

I’m a city person. I live in a condo without a backyard and I don’t like to hike, camp, etc. For some reason I got a brand new mini 40 pound cast iron BBQ grill & set for Christmas. There’s no way I can use it in my condo, and no way in hell am I getting my hands dirty on charcoal, dust, cleaning, etc. I sure ain’t gonna go camping or the sort. Actually I’m just a bit pissed off at getting this chunk of heavy iron that’s has no meaning to me and taking up space in my little condo. What is the best way to dispose it?
