So we’re goin campin and the grill we got is kinda small and it doesn’t have that cover thing with the filter that you can just open and close. So any tips on how I could cook properly and slowly on a small open air grill like that? I got coals and lighter fluid too. I just don’t want to burn anything.

I am going camping and want a grate to put over the fire to use for cooking. Some outdoors stores sell good grates, but I feel there’s something simple out there I’m just not thinking of. So where can I get a grate, even used, for bbqing during my trip?

There will be 6 of us. Most of the cooking will be done on a gas grill, but I will be at my cabin which also has pretty much a full kitchen including a fridge. We’ll be on the river partying all day so I really want something I could prep in the a.m then just throw on grill at night. We will be there for 5 days so I need more than just hamburgers and hot dogs. Thanks. All ideas welcome =)

We’ll be camping in Juniper Springs, FL this weekend and using their on-site fire pits and not the upright grills. Our 3 evening meals will be hot dogs and tinfoil packets filled with potatoes, carrots and either beef or chicken.
I’ve always cooked on wood fire and gas camping stoves so I’ve got no clue how many pounds of charcoal to bring. Any estimates or ideas would be great! Thank you!
